Today we are excited to announce that Dallas Startup Week, will move to Gilley’s Dallas for 2020. This keystone event, going on six years, supports the entrepreneurial community and has been outgrowing its location in downtown Dallas over the past two years. Over 10,000 entrepreneurs, corporate innovation leaders, civic leaders, and non-profits enjoyed DSW 19 but in many different locations.
“Our post surveys from 2019 said two things very strongly. First, attendees overwhelmingly said how much they enjoyed the event, speakers and topics, “ said Bill Chin, CEO, The DEC Network. “And a very close second was, multiple locations were a hassle and many people missed sessions due to confusion over location. We heard our constituents loud and clear and are very excited to bring together a majority of our events under the iconic Gilley’s location. This gives us plenty of room to continue our growth in serving the entrepreneurs of DFW”.
“We are so excited to host Dallas Startup Week next year” said Jay Stewart, General Manager of Gilley’s Dallas. “Though the Gilley’s name and brand was known previously, our business was a startup in many ways back in 2003. We strive to innovate and reinvent our structure with our unique spaces and events year after year. We are excited to be part of the DSW 2020 team!”.
The DEC Network is a 501c3 non-profit organization driving innovation and economic impact by helping entrepreneurs start, build, and grow their businesses. Since 2013, it has launched a number of innovation hubs across DFW that provide entrepreneurs with education, mentorship, community, and advocacy.
