2017 was a great year of planning, strategy and execution for The RedBird Entrepreneur Center! We received amazing corporate and community support and streamlined our programming plan for our 2018 launch. A few recaps and updates:
Re-Imagine RedBird Pop-Up Market:
In December, we hosted 15 small businesses at our first Pop-Up Market in Red Bird Mall. Attendees enjoyed browsing the books, apparel, decor and more for sale by our local entrepreneurs. Children enjoyed arts, crafts, treats and hot cocoa provided by Chef Kev Asade. Stay tuned for our next market in the Spring!

The RedBird Entrepreneur Center will be partnering with the University of North Texas-Dallas and Paul Quinn College to provide entrepreneurial programming, support and education for the students at these respective colleges and the surrounding community! Both Universities will open a few of these sessions to the public so check out our February newsletter for details and our programming schedule.
The RedBird Entrepreneur Center is expanding our mentor database to increase the number of women and mentors of color. Mentors provide expedient advice, counsel, and experience that can help entrepreneurs avoid and overcome the hurdles that stand in their path. If you are a tenured entrepreneur or subject matter expert in your field, we hope you will consider becoming a mentor within our network. Please contact Michelle Williams at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
