Back for its seventh year, The State of Entrepreneurship presented by The DEC Network has become a tradition for celebrating the people, places and passions that keep the North Texas startup ecosystem thriving. The entire community comes out to cheer on the launches, fundings, exits and overall wins of the entrepreneurial community from the past year.
This year’s event takes place Wednesday, May 5, both in-person and virtually. Attendees will hear from the Dallas Task Force on Innovation and Entrepreneurship – including Mayor Eric Johnson and other members – as well as city officials, Fortune 500 executives and founders of some of 2020’s breakout small businesses. Trey Bowles, co-chair of the Task Force and co-founder of The DEC Network, will emcee the event.

The 2021 Inclusive Innovation Summit is a premiere virtual event presented in partnership by the UT Dallas Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, The DEC Network, QuTD, The Galerstein Gender Center, and Blackstone Launchpad & TechStars. This event will highlight individuals in underrepresented communities who have forged innovative careers, teach attendees how to create safe spaces in entrepreneurial culture, highlight companies who foster intersectionality between inclusion and innovation, and inspire future entrepreneurs and innovators.
LiftFund Dallas and San Antonio Women\’s Business Centers are excited to host the Women of Color: Shaping the Future Conference! The purpose of the day is to empower and strengthen minority women business owners so they can increase their earning potential, close the inequalities gap, and become successful entrepreneurs. Our women of color conference aims to bring people together to collectively elevate the voices of diverse women entrepreneurs and share how we, as a community, can continue leveling the financial playing field and lift women of color.
