Inside the DEC Network

Since 2013, The DEC Network has helped thousands of entrepreneurs across North Texas start, grow, and scale – all through the power of community. The DEC Network builds a supportive and accessible environment for entrepreneurs.

The organization fulfills this mission by offering free resources, such as mentorships and programs tailored to entrepreneurs’ needs. But many entrepreneurs still don’t realize what The DEC Network offers – leaving valuable support untapped by those who need it most.

“I wish more people felt comfortable and vulnerable to ask The DEC Network for help,” said Kara Lehnert, Programs Manager at The DEC Network.

Connecting for Growth

Connection is a core value at The DEC Network as it plays a key role in helping entrepreneurs form meaningful relationships with corporations, investors, and other entrepreneurs.

“We really want to eliminate any barrier to connection,” expressed Kendall Kennedy, Director of Events and Operations. “Just come and see — attend one of our free events or apply for a program.”

By facilitating these connections, it helps foster collaboration and makes entrepreneurs feel like they never have to do it all alone.

Community at the Heart

The work done at The DEC Network is powered by the community. It’s a space where people lift each other up, share knowledge, mentor, and offer support throughout the highs and lows. One way individuals can get involved is by both sharing events and attending free offerings listed on The DEC Network’s public calendar.

“The DEC Network is a community for all individuals looking for support,” said Ashley Diaz, Mentorship Coordinator. “It’s a place where you can feel comfortable and safe sharing your challenges and asking for help.”
